It’s that time of the year, when the city gears up to celebrate the most auspicious festival ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’. Usually what we all do is bring Ganesha to our homes and then after few days of keeping them in our homes we take them for visarjan. But other than performing these every year ritual there are many ways we can enjoy the festivity of Ganesh Utsav. Saptami the multi-cuisine all day dining restaurant is gearing up to celebrate the most joyous event of the city, the birthday of Lord Ganesha. On the menu is a special fully vegetarian buffet comprising of an array of vegetarian salads like Arabic mezzehs, pachdis, chaats, fresh vegetable salad etc, starters include paneer tikka, veg wontons, rajmah galoutis, vegetable satay and much more.
Main course comprise of Gujarati Undhio, Bhindi nu shaak, kadi, Thepla, Dhokla, Khandvi to Punjabi Chole, Makhani, Sambhar, Avial, veg stew, poriyals etc. Besides, Asian vegetarian stuff like stir fries and Pure Veg Thai curriers will also be a part of the menu.
You will get a chance to taste on a huge variety of modaks and other traditional desserts such as Besan Ke Ladoo, Motichoor Ke Ladoo, Kaju Ke Barfi, Jalebi, Gulab Jamun, Puran Poli, Chum Chum, Rawa Ladoo and Moong Dal Ka Halwa.

Every year the city bids adieu to its favourite God Ganesha with massive celebrations and grandeur. Head out on a photo walk this year to experience the magic of Ganpati Visarjan. Commencing at Chinchpokhli Railway Station Bridge, the walk will proceed towards Lalbaug where you can capture the famous Lalbaugcha Raja and many other idols.

No festival is complete without an assortment of specially prepared food! To give you a taste of the flavours of Ganesh Chaturthi, the Renaissance Hotel is bringing together their Executive Chef Sandeep Pande along with celebrated Chef Nilesh Limaye. Traditional fare like Khamang Kadhi,Chawli Ussal and Kala Vatana Sambhar are on the menu. For the sweet lovers, there will be a Modak Station, Shrikhand, assorted Karanjis and of course, Puran Poli.
